The Cast are delighted to be presenting the legendary "Hair" in 2019! When it debuted in the West End in 1968, the day after the UK’s theatre censorship bills ended, “Hair” changed theatre forever. With its hippy, anti-establishment vibe and anti-war message, it embraced themes previously banned from theatrical productions, such as interracial relationships, nudity, bisexuality and drug culture and in doing so, equally scandalised and delighted audiences, becoming a modern phenomenon in its own right. And whilst those themes are accepted nowadays, the story - and of course the legendary music - has ensured that “HAIR” has remained a captivating show in the 50 years since it was first launched. Set amongst the sexual revolution of the 1960s, Hair tells the story of the "tribe", a group of politically active, long-haired hippies living a bohemian life in New York City and fighting against conscription into the Vietnam War.
